Shuttle Atlantis transport

Space Shuttle Atlantis, with its two white booster rockets and orange external fuel tank, leaves the Vehicle Assemble Building at Kennedy Space Center atop a transporter vehicle for its 3-mile midnight crawl to the Launch Pad. Atlantis is scheduled for its thirty-second and final launch into space on May 14. NASA employees watch from the sixteenth floor platform at left
