Space Shuttle Atlantis

Space Shuttle Atlantis, along with its two white booster rockets and orange external fuel tank, gleam in the lights of the Kennedy Space Center as its makes a 3-mile midnight crawl to the launch pad in late April. Atlantis will blast into the afternoon sky on May 14 for its final space journey carrying some of the final components and spare parts to the International Space Station orbiting 220 miles above the earth.
