Debating Laser Eye Surgery

After initial scepticism over whether to go through with laser eye surgery, the decision to go through with the procedure is proving to be one of the best of my life thus far. I wouldn’t say that the choice was completely my own; you know, weighing up the pros and cons, and making a rational decision. It was more from relentless peer pressure from friends who told me to stop being such a wimp! Being pedantic of nature anyway, you can forgive me for being rather hesitant in deciding whether I should be strapped to an operating table while lasers are directed in to my eyeballs as they agonisingly turn to slimy blancmange! Of course, laser eye surgeryisn’t like that at all. The whole procedure was conducted in an efficient and professional manner. And best of all, the results has been a 100% success.

When the news broke over decade ago now of laser eye surgery it sounded the stuff of science fiction. Initially, I never even considered the procedure. It reminded me of some evil space warlord like Ming the Merciless having Flash Gordon exactly where he wants him, bound and helpless while a laser edges perilously closer. Well we all know that Flash is indestructible, which for some reason boosted my confidence in the procedure, in fact, it was the foundation in which my decision was based. No, in fact, I had grown tiresome of wearing glasses day in day for 30 years. I also made Mr Magoo look like he had 20/20 vision.

I discovered that I was unsuitable for proper laser vision correction. The Procedure I was recommended was actually intraocular lens implants. Know when I told my friends I had had implants, they giggled and began feeling my moobs. I also found out about another eye procedure called Keratoconus treatment. Keractoconus is an inherited condition of in where a person’s cornea is more flexible in form becoming cone shaped.
